Book Recommendation: The Photographer’s Portfolio Development Workshop

Renowned photographer William Neill, who has lived in the Yosemite National Park area for about 45 years, has published a new book focused on helping photographers develop a portfolio of their images.

The book is called “The Photographer’s Portfolio Development Workshop”, and it is available now as an eBook and will be published in a print edition later this year.

I think this book is worthwhile for any photographer, whether you want to create a formal portfolio of your photographs, want to put together a group of photos for a gallery display, or simply want to improve your creative focus as a photographer.

The book guides you step-by-step through a process of finding your own focus in photography, developing a theme for a portfolio, selecting and refining images for the portfolio, and much more. The book wraps up with a chapter on putting the whole process together, along with helpful worksheets you can fill out to help you put the lessons from the book into practice.

You can order the eBook version (and pre-order the print edition if you prefer) on Amazon here:
