    During a visit to Dakar, Senegal, I got outside my usual comfort zone and photographed people. In fact, while the lake I thought I was going to photograph didn’t turn out to be as photogenic as I had expected, I did photograph people at the lake, including an image of a person harvesting salt which turned out to be a favorite photo from the day. I share the story of that image in this article.
